Building Credit

Building credit can be tricky, but not impossible. If you don’t have a credit history, it’s hard to get a loan, a credit card or even an apartment. How are you supposed to show a history of responsible repayment if no one will give you credit in the first place? No credit is just as bad as bad credit. There are a few tricks that you can use to quickly get your FICO score in the mid 700″s. There is hope if you’re just starting your credit life, or if you have established credit.

One of the most successful and quickest ways to increase your FICO in as little as 10 days is to add positive tradelines to your credit file.  Positive tradelines are open accounts that have a low balance with good payment history.  If you have a family member that has an account like that, you can ask them to add you to their account as an Authorized User, you would be piggybacking on their account and all their payment history will be added to your credit file within 10 days of their statement date. I have seen hundreds of people use this method and have had great success. If for some reason you don’t have a family member that would add you to their account, then you can ask someone, like a friend, or someone else, but be careful and do your research.
